Lee Blackwell

Lee has spent over 20 years in corporate financial management as a change agent and turnarounds specialist. He is a founding partner of SABE LLC providing financial management policies, analytics and models to small and large businesses.

Lee was Vice President and Corporate Controller for ICMA Retirement Corporation. Previous positions have also included Director of Finance and Consulting for Cushman Wakefield, and Treasury Manager for The New York Times

Lee received his BS in Accounting from Illinois State University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He also holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant from the State of Illinois.

Beth Gruber
Beth Slone Gruber is a seasoned and versatile copywriter, Web content developer and author with more than two decades of experience creating results-driven copy that helps businesses across a broad spectrum of industries successfully position themselves in changing, challenging and highly competitive markets. She has helped some of the world’s largest science, technical and medical publishers spearhead new brand initiatives and introduce new products, and supported the marketing goals of STM societies from every field looking to grow their membership and extend their reach throughout the global STM community. Her significant expertise also includes financial services, knowledge management and discovery solutions, circulation and direct response, professional development, B2B marketing and educational recruitment and retention.

In addition to a successful career as a writer, author and strategic communicator, Ms. Gruber was owner/managing partner and director of creative services at Inkwell, Inc., a boutique-sized advertising and promotion studio, for 17 years, where she was responsible for developing new business, building client relationships, managing accounts, establishing communication standards and creating and executing campaigns to support marketing strategies and client goals.

Johnnie Roberts
Johnnie is a veteran journalist of 35 years, with distinguished record for breaking news, feature writing and
investigative reporting. Having worked for the Wall Street Journal and Newsweek, he established himself as a specialist in media industry as he covered the trends and transformation over the past quarter century.

He is experienced in all journalistic forms, including analysis, editorials and essays. Intrepid reporting, superb interviewing skills, career-long commitment to excellence and fairness.

He has received a number of awards from the publishing industry

Jeri Hope Wachter

Jeri is an entrepreneur with 23 years experience in startups, financing, operating and selling 2 companies in professional and scholarly publishing. Jeri expertise extends to the managing and publishing of scientific book and journal content.

A graduate of Baruch College she majored in biology.
