Darrell W. Gunter a “Digital” publishing executive with extensive experience in leadership, strategy, sales, marketing and technology (Blockchain & AI) in the digital industry. He is a frequent speaker and moderator at many industry events.
He is the President and CEO of his consulting firm Gunter Media Group, Inc. For his client International Association of STM Publishers he curates and MCs the STM Annual US Conference and the STM Frankfurt Conference. Having worked for the leaders of the electronic information industry; Xerox, Dow Jones Financial News Services, Elsevier, Collexis and the American Institute of Physics. He has been an innovative pioneer in the industry with the successful launch of several dynamic products and applications; Xerox 2830, DJ News Retrieval (now Factiva), ScienceDirect, Scopus, College Markets (Elsevier) and BiomedExperts.com, Expert Profiles, Reviewer Finder, (Collexis) and GadgetOne™ (Gadget Software).
Darrell is very active in the industry with memberships in AAP/PSP, BISG, ISMTE and SSP. He Co-Chaired, PSPS’s Committee for Digital Innovation from 2011-2018 and is a former Associate Editor of the Learned Journal published by the ALPSP.
A graduate of Seton Hall University’s W. Paul Stillman School of Business, he obtained his BS Business Administration (Marketing) and earned his MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He participated in class #2 of the ReedD Elsevier (RELX) Executive Development Program Class at Oxford University’s Templeton College. He also graduated from Rutgers CUEED’s Entrepreneur Pioneer’s Initiative program and completed the MIT Sloan Exec Edu – Blockchain Technologies: Blockchain Innovation & Application online certificate program.
He serves on several advisory (MyScienceWork) and non-profit boards and is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University where he teaches Professional Sales. His radio program “Leadership with Darrell W Gunter” in its 11th season airs 8:00 am EST Saturday on WSOU HD 89.5 FM / WSOU.net.
